Job Description
TechAGI Solutions is hiring Embedded Software Engineers for a 12-month contract opportunity in North Reading, MA, or Sunnyvale, CA.
We are looking for technically strong engineers with hands-on experience in C/C++, Linux-based embedded systems, and hardware/software integration.
The ideal candidate will develop and maintain embedded software for advanced semiconductor test platforms, working closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C and C++ on Linux platforms.
Develop software that interacts directly with hardware components and operating systems.
Build reliable APIs and services for higher-level applications.
Debug and resolve complex hardware/software integration issues.
Troubleshoot multithreaded applications and system-level software.
Optimize software performance, reliability, and system efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Follow Agile development practices, including sprint planning, bug tracking, and release management.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on programming experience in C and C++.
Experience developing software for Linux-based embedded systems.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for hardware/software integration.
Experience with multithreaded application development and debugging.
Knowledge of embedded communication interfaces, including SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe, or similar technologies.
Experience working with system-level and board-level software components.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite five days per week in North Reading, MA, or Sunnyvale, CA.
Preferred Skills
Python scripting for automation, testing, or development tools.
Experience with test equipment, instrumentation, or automation systems.
Experience working on semiconductor testing platforms.
