Senior Digital Commerce / Marketing Technology Consultant – PIM, AEM & eCommerce

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Digital Commerce / Marketing Technology Consultant with strong experience across Product Information Management (PIM), Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and eCommerce.

This role will work closely with business, marketing, product, IT, and digital commerce teams to improve how product information and digital content are managed, integrated, and delivered across customer-facing channels.

The ideal candidate understands how PIM, AEM, eCommerce, ERP, and DAM systems work together and can translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business, marketing, product, IT, and eCommerce stakeholders to understand requirements.

• Support the design, implementation, enhancement, and optimization of PIM, AEM, and eCommerce solutions.

• Manage product information including product attributes, catalogs, hierarchies, classifications, taxonomies, and product content.

• Work with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for digital content management, authoring, workflows, and publishing.

• Support AEM Sites and AEM Assets/DAM environments.

• Support integration and synchronization between PIM, AEM, eCommerce, ERP, DAM, and other enterprise systems.

• Analyze existing product and content processes and identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and data-quality improvement.

• Translate business and marketing requirements into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and solution designs.

• Support product content management, content modeling, digital asset management, and publishing workflows.

• Troubleshoot issues involving product information, content, integrations, and eCommerce processes.

• Work with APIs, middleware, and enterprise integration teams to support real-time and batch data synchronization.

• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and production support.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, business analysts, and marketing teams.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.

• Prepare functional documentation and communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Digital Commerce, Digital Experience, Marketing Technology, or a related technology environment.

• Hands-on experience with Product Information Management (PIM) solutions.

• Strong experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and enterprise content management.

• Experience with AEM Sites and/or AEM Assets/DAM.

• Experience working with eCommerce platforms and digital commerce ecosystems.

• Strong understanding of product catalogs, product attributes, hierarchies, classifications, taxonomies, and product content.

• Experience integrating PIM with AEM, eCommerce, ERP, DAM, or other enterprise applications.

• Understanding of digital content management and publishing processes.

• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technology solutions.

• Experience with APIs, REST/SOAP, middleware, or enterprise integrations.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise-scale PIM implementations or transformations.

• Experience with Adobe Commerce / Magento or another major eCommerce platform.

• Experience with large product catalogs and complex product hierarchies.

• Experience with B2B or B2C commerce.

• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance.

• Experience with omnichannel commerce and product-content syndication.

• Experience integrating PIM with eCommerce, CMS, ERP, and downstream systems.

Technology Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

PIM: Akeneo, Salsify, Stibo Systems, Informatica, Pimcore, Syndigo, inriver, SAP MDG, Oracle Product Hub, or similar.

eCommerce: Adobe Commerce/Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce/Hybris, Shopify Plus, Oracle Commerce, Commercetools, or similar.
