Position: Product Owner (Job Id – 26-01197)

Location: New York NY 10003 (HYBRID 3 Days Onsite/2 Days Remote)

Duration: 6 Months + Strong Possibility of conversion to permanent

• The Privacy Operations team works to enhance the enterprise privacy program supporting teams in response to growing customer expectations, risk management imperatives, and current/evolving legal obligations around the collection, storage, processing, and sharing of personal data.
• In partnership with Enterprise Technology Services, the team is responsible for implementing and managing the technology using the OneTrust platform and the supporting business processes to create a “privacy by design” culture that embeds privacy protection and controls throughout the lifecycle of the data.
• The Product Owner will be accountable for product and feature development and prioritization for a third-party data sharing governance platform for the purpose of creating a comprehensive inventory of all third-party data sharing activities involving sensitive data and identifying the controls, risks, security agreements, and other pertinent information to create more centralized and efficient methods to monitor the consistency of practices and controls.
• Lead internal business and cross-functional teams as required, engage vendors and company stakeholders, and monitor and control all project activity throughout the project life cycle.
• Establish work plans, administer meetings, assign and track tasks, develop status reports, and monitor budget and financials.
• Create and maintain project documentation as required such as business requirements, stakeholder list, and risk register, and develop and implement associated plans.
• Develop messaging and communication strategy and materials to proactively engage stakeholders, build awareness, solicit input, and gain alignment to positively influence project outcomes.
• Conduct research and perform benchmarking with utilities and other businesses and organizations like the IAPP to stay informed of new legislation, trends, and best practices.
• Perform testing associated with changes to business processes and systems, including development of detailed test plans and test cases, execution of testing, documentation of findings, and working with business and technical staff to resolve identified issues.
• Support a customer-centric culture, taking special interest in meeting the needs of external and internal stakeholders.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

MUST HAVE

• Strong project management skills with experience as a product owner or similar role on a technology implementation project.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with fellow product owners and team members as well as a diverse group of stakeholders to drive results and build consensus.
• Proven leadership with strong interpersonal skills, a growth mindset, and team orientation.
• Consistent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with commitment to quality.
• Experience developing and delivering presentations and creating clear documentation for diverse audiences including product vision and roadmaps, user stories and product requirements, and end user guides and release notes
• Experience in a privacy or data governance-related role in operations, risk management and/or compliance, designing and/or implementing privacy program elements.
• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., utility industry) preferred.
• Supervisory or vendor management experience in setting expectations, overseeing performance, sharing knowledge and training for assigned work, and ensuring deliverables are met.

NICE TO HAVE

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Azure DevOps or similar)
• Experience using or familiarity with privacy, data governance, and risk management technologies, especially OneTrust.
• Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
