Summary

Job Details:

Position: SAP IBP Business/Data Analyst Supply Chain (or) Supply Chain Data & KPI Analyst Location: Carlsbad, CA (Onsite) Type: Contract - (C2C, W2, 1099)

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities
Core function is a bridge role not pure technical build, not pure business analysis. The person sits between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating supply-chain KPI needs into data logic and requirements.
Primary tech stack spans SAP + modern data tooling:
SAP S/4HANA (ERP backbone)
SAP IBP for Supply Chain (planning/forecasting module)
SQL and Databricks (data engineering/analytics layer)
This combination signals the client wants someone who understands both the SAP transactional/planning world and how that data gets modeled and consumed downstream in a lakehouse environment.
KPI/metrics ownership is central "define KPI logic and business rules" implies they need someone who can translate ambiguous business asks ("we want to measure forecast accuracy") into concrete, testable calculation logic a data modeling/BI-adjacent skill, not just requirements gathering.
Data Modeling as a named skill suggests responsibility for designing how supply-chain entities (demand, supply, inventory, etc.) are structured for reporting likely dimensional modeling or similar for BI consumption.
UAT coordination is explicitly called out this is a hands-on-with-business-users responsibility, not just handoff to QA. Suggests the role owns validation that KPI outputs match business expectations before go-live.
Stakeholder Management as a distinct line item (alongside UAT) suggests frequent, ongoing business-facing interaction this isn't a backend-only technical role.
Likely candidate profile: someone with SAP IBP/S4 functional exposure plus SQL/Databricks fluency a relatively narrow combination. Pure SAP functional consultants often lack Databricks/SQL depth, and pure data engineers often lack SAP IBP domain knowledge
