Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cerner Millennium Technical Consultant with extensive expertise in Cerner Millennium architecture, healthcare data integrations, EHR implementations, and enterprise healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and functional knowledge of clinical workflows, Cerner Command Language (CCL), Oracle databases, ETL development, and cloud-based healthcare integrations.

This role will support large-scale healthcare transformation initiatives including EHR implementations, system migrations, optimization projects, data extraction, integration development, and performance tuning activities within complex healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support large-scale Cerner Millennium EHR implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives.
• Analyze clinical workflows and healthcare operational processes to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.
• Design, develop, execute, and optimize Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts in production environments.
• Develop and support healthcare data extraction, transformation, and migration processes.
• Design and maintain ETL workflows and enterprise healthcare data integration solutions.
• Work closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure accurate system functionality and data integrity.
• Develop REST/SOA-based integration services and APIs supporting healthcare interoperability initiatives.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of Cerner Millennium applications and Oracle databases.
• Support enterprise reporting environments and healthcare analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support distributed systems, networking, and cloud-based environments.
• Participate in system integration activities, code development, deployment support, and production troubleshooting.
• Develop technical documentation, interface specifications, workflow diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and technical teams.
• Support cloud-hosted healthcare solutions across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI platforms.
• Coordinate with vendors, implementation partners, and internal teams during project execution and support activities.

Required Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in healthcare IT, Cerner Millennium, or enterprise EHR environments.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale EHR implementations, migrations, and optimization projects.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL).
• Strong working knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases.
• Experience with SQL, Linux, enterprise data extraction, and migration methodologies.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Experience with healthcare system integrations and reporting environments.
• Strong experience with REST/SOA development and API integrations.
• Knowledge of distributed systems architecture, networking concepts, and application performance tuning.
• Experience writing, tuning, and executing CCL scripts in production environments.
• Strong experience with data extraction, system integration, and custom code development.
• Working knowledge of Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or OCI technologies.
• Hands-on experience supporting cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting Cerner Millennium production environments.
• Prior experience serving as a Senior Cerner Consultant or Technical Lead.
• Experience within large healthcare organizations, hospital systems, or public healthcare environments.
