Java Developer

Core Focus: Hands-on Java backend engineering across distributed commerce services (refunds, chargebacks, dispute handling, support tooling).

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on Java engineering background with solid experience in object-oriented design, service-oriented architectures, and RESTful APIs.

• Solid working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, entity modeling, and eventual consistency in distributed systems.

• Proven ability to navigate, understand, and safely modify large, complex enterprise codebases.

• High ownership, sound technical judgment in ambiguous areas, and commitment to maintainable code.

AI Tooling & Engineering Accountability:

• We encourage using AI developer tools effectively to increase productivity, accelerate ramp-up, and streamline routine implementation work.

• We expect full technical ownership and accountability: no blind reliance on AI output. The candidate must deeply understand every line of code they write or modify, explain their design decisions, and take responsibility for testing, correctness, and system stability.
