Job Description-:

An Industry-Defining Opportunity
We are a venture-backed startup (pre–Series A) on a mission to transform cardiovascular care. Our platform empowers large provider groups and health systems to succeed in value-based care contracts by improving patient outcomes and reducing the total cost of care through better coordination, analytics, and disease management.
While our initial focus is cardiology, we are building a scalable operating system for managing complex conditions across the broader healthcare ecosystem.
This is a rare opportunity to join a mission-driven founding team at a pivotal stage and help define the future of healthcare technology — with the potential to improve the lives of patients affected by cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death in the United States.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You are passionate about quality, energized by building from the ground up, and motivated to work on problems that matter.
You are a curious and pragmatic problem solver who thrives in fast-moving environments. You value clean design, thoughtful architecture, and simple solutions to complex problems. You enjoy collaborative technical dialogue and know how to balance speed with long-term maintainability.
What You’ll Do
- Execute: Write clean, testable, maintainable code in a cloud-native Python environment
- Deliver: Own software initiatives from requirements through deployment and ongoing support
- Architect: Design and deploy scalable, secure, cloud-native infrastructure in AWS using infrastructure-as-code best practices
- Operationalize Data: Architect, optimize, and maintain reliable and high-performance databases
- Build APIs: Design and implement robust RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Safeguard Data: Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Optimize Systems: Drive improvements in system architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
- Strong experience developing in a cloud-native Python environment (required)
- Deep expertise in AWS and cloud-native architecture (required)
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack engineering, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Strong experience building distributed systems and scalable backend services
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
- Experience designing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices
- Experience with authentication, security best practices, and API design patterns
- Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
- Ability to work independently and make high-impact technical decisions
Healthcare Experience (Preferred but Strongly Valued)
- Experience working with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and data formats (e.g., FHIR)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
