Summary

The Databricks Administrator is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing Databricks workspaces and clusters across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provision, configure, and monitor Databricks clusters, jobs, and workflows.
Set up and manage multi-tenant workspaces, cross-workspace access, and authentication.
Implement and enforce Unity Catalog for data governance, lineage, and fine-grained access control.
Manage user/group provisioning, role-based access, and workspace isolation for clients.
Oversee metadata access, cross-data sharing, and secure integration with external systems.
Monitor platform health, troubleshoot Spark/Databricks workloads, and optimize performance.
Support migration of legacy workloads into Databricks Lakehouse.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and production readiness.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Databricks administration (clusters, jobs, workspaces).
Expertise in Unity Catalog, IAM, and data governance.
Knowledge of Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, and distributed data processing.
Familiarity with Azure/AWS cloud services integrated with Databricks.
Experience in security, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale Databricks environments.
