Project Manager

Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Project Manager to support a large agency in Columbia, SC. 

This role leads a high-priority migration and modernization initiative, driving delivery of complex, high-impact projects using hybrid agile methodologies. You’ll work across business and technical teams to align strategy, execution, and outcomes while mentoring team members and ensuring successful delivery in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  This is a hybrid role eligible for 2 remote days/week after 3 months and key milestones met. 

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact projects using hybrid Agile methodologies
• Manage the Application Migration and Modernization project, transitioning systems from legacy environments
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and aligned with agency goals
• Develop and present executive-level updates, dashboards, and status reports
• Facilitate collaboration between business leaders, product owners, and technical teams
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Manage risks, dependencies, and multiple concurrent priorities
• Support enterprise-wide planning and system integration efforts
• Ensure compliance with state procurement, fiscal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and external partners
• Coach and mentor junior project managers and project staff

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects
• Proven experience leading Agile teams and full project lifecycles
• Active PMP certification (required)
• Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, DASM) (required)
• Strong experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Planner, or similar)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Public Administration, or related field
