Senior Network Engineer

Project Overview

The agency requires a Senior Network Engineer for approximately 80 non-consecutive hours to support:

• Operating System upgrades
• SQL Server upgrades and migrations
• Network troubleshooting and imaging support

The resource will address issues related to:

• Microsoft Word auto-save functionality
• SharePoint collaboration integration with Word
• Network performance and configuration issues

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrade operating systems from Windows Server 2012 R2 to Windows Server 2022
• Upgrade SQL Server from 2016 to 2022
• Migrate applications, including web-based systems with SQL backends
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related and service pack issues
• Create and deploy device images for both current and new systems
• Support imaging, network configuration, and SharePoint collaboration functionality

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
• Computer Science
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience managing complex network projects
• Strong experience with:
• SharePoint (4–6 years, required)
• SQL Server (4–6 years, required)
• Demonstrated success with OS upgrades, SQL migrations, and network troubleshooting

Project Duration and Schedule

• Estimated Duration: February 23, 2026 – May 31, 2026
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST)
• Work Location: Remote
• Availability: Must be available ASAP and intermittently throughout February, March, April, and May
