job summary:
We are seeking a Senior Network Storage Engineer to support the enterprise storage area network (SAN) infrastructure for a major government environment. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performing SAN network operations across core enterprise systems and storage-dependent platforms. You will work alongside operations and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, incident resolution, and seamless network connectivity.

responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and maintain day-to-day SAN fabric infrastructure using Cisco MDS and Cisco Nexus platforms.
Manage network connectivity to the SAN for storage, virtualization, replication, and backup/recovery workflows.
Troubleshoot complex SAN connectivity and performance issues to restore service quickly.
Perform root cause analysis and maintain SOPs, topology diagrams, and change management documentation.
qualifications:
8+ years of experience in data center network administration for Storage Area Networks (SANs).
Hands-on expertise working with Cisco MDS and Cisco Nexus platforms.
Active CCNA Data Center Certification or equivalent required.
Ability to obtain and maintain an SEC Public Trust clearance.
