Description
We are looking for an experienced Events/Promotions Director to lead strategic event planning and execution for a long-term contract position based in Houston, Texas. This role involves overseeing a wide range of events while collaborating with university divisions and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will bring creative expertise and a strong background in digital marketing and event management.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement event strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance brand visibility.
Work closely with communications teams and stakeholders to coordinate promotional activities and campaigns.
Plan and execute diverse events, including corporate, community, educational, and high-profile gatherings.
Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure successful delivery.
Utilize tools such as Canva and Google Analytics to create impactful marketing materials and analyze event data.
Collaborate with universities and external partners to promote energy and innovation initiatives.
Organize sponsored and outreach events to engage with target audiences and build strong relationships.
Analyze event performance and create detailed reports to measure success and drive improvements.
Oversee the procurement and management of equipment required for events.
Lead efforts to establish brand awareness through creative event marketing strategies.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and promotions.
Proven expertise in digital marketing and B2B marketing strategies.
Strong skills in developing proposals and executing marketing campaigns.
Familiarity with tools like Canva and Google Analytics for design and data analysis.
Experience managing large-scale, high-profile, and sponsored events.
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including universities and external partners.
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage complex event logistics.
Knowledge of marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
