About the Role\\n
Inner Logic is building the computational development infrastructure that will transform how we design, develop and test the next generation of intelligence-enabled medical procedural devices, from orthopedic implants to heart valves to surgical robots.

We are looking for a user-focused fast-moving Full Stack Developer to lead the development of the first version of our customer-facing React-based web application and Python-based command line interface. These will support the configuration and execution of physics-based simulations, image and video data generation, and data management/analysis.
\\n
\\n
The successful candidate is able to move fast with a lean startup philosophy. This starts off as an IC role but will quickly grow into a leadership role. The successful candidate is able to clearly communicate a technical vision, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities\\n
Frontend Development (Core Focus - 80%)
\\n
\\n - GUI - Architect, develop, operate, and maintain intuitive and high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript.
\\n - CLI - Architect, develop, operate, and maintain command line interfaces using Python.
\\n
\\n
\\n
Backend & API (20%)
\\n
\\n - API - Design and implement RESTful API using Python FastAPI. Integrate with backend systems running AI and simulation workflows.
\\n - Backend Services - Develop or integrate with micro-services using Go, Python, Node.js, or Java.
\\n - Data Modeling and Access - Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, design schemas, migrations, and performant queries.
\\n
\\n
\\n
Common
\\n
\\n - Quality Assurance - Full suite of tests (unit, integration, acceptance tests)
\\n - CI/CD - GitHub Actions, Docker/Kubernetes and web deployment
\\n - Observability - OpenTelemetry.

Required Qualifications\\n
\\n - 5+ years building and shipping customer-facing web applications.
\\n - 3+ years experience with React and TypeScript in production codebases.
\\n - 3+ years experience with Server-Side Rendering (Next.js)
\\n - 3+ years experience modeling data and writing queries against a relational database (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and caching(Redis).
\\n - 2+ years experience building APIs (Python FastAPI)
\\n - Strong web fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript ES6+)
\\n - Strong commitment to automated testing, code reviews, clean code practices, and Git-based collaborative workflows.

Preferred Qualifications\\n
\\n - 2+ years building backend services (Go, Python, Node.js, or Java)
\\n - Experience building and using agentic workflows (MCP)
\\n - Experience developing simulation UX
\\n - Experience developing image/video editing applications
\\n - Solid understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)

Compensation and Benefits\\n
The base salary range for this role is $155,000 to $190,000 per year. Where an offer falls in that range depends on location, experience, education, and credentials. The role also includes stock options. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance with premiums paid by the company, a 401(k) plan, and flexible paid time off.
