OverviewWe are seeking an IT Hardware Deployment & Asset Management Technician to support hardware deployment initiatives, inventory management, and asset tracking operations within a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is heavily focused on backend IT operations and logistics rather than end-user support, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy working with technology, inventory processes, and large-scale hardware projects. The technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, managing inventory, and supporting device deployment efforts as part of a larger IT operations team.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain IT asset inventory records using tools such as ServiceNow, Excel, and Smartsheet.
- Track hardware lifecycle activities, including receiving, deployment, relocation, recovery, and disposal of devices.
- Support large-scale hardware deployment, refresh, and migration projects.
- Perform inventory audits and ensure asset records remain accurate and up to date.
- Configure, stage, label, and prepare devices for deployment.
- Maintain inventory stock levels and organize storage areas within warehouse and operational environments.
- Update asset management systems with device assignments, status changes, and inventory movements.
- Follow established documentation, procedures, and operational workflows to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and processing incoming and outgoing IT equipment.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support equipment distribution and deployment initiatives.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and assist with reconciliation efforts.
Required Qualifications- Experience managing and maintaining data in Excel, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in warehouse, inventory management, logistics, or operational environments.
- Ability to follow documented processes and maintain accurate records.
- Understanding of IT hardware asset tracking and inventory management practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting hardware deployment, device refresh, or asset management projects.
- Familiarity with IT asset management (ITAM) processes and best practices.
- Experience handling laptops, desktops, mobile devices, monitors, and peripheral equipment.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow Asset Management modules.
- Previous experience within an enterprise IT operations environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
