Job Description
We are currently seeking a contract Project Manager to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
Responsibilities
8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Certification in Project Management by a recognized project management organization or Scrum Master a plus.
Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
Contractor will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by managing a project which will enhance the system to expand the reporting available to program area users.. Contractor will manage a vendor software development team and coordinate with the in-house software team and collaborate with the program area to keep them informed and involved as appropriate. Contractor will manage the schedule, budget and scope for this project.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
8 years of:
- Project Management
- Managing enterprise scale data management projects.
- Managing agile projects at state or federal government agencies or similar
Preferred:
5 years of:
- Knowledge and experience with common project management systems like Jira, Micro Focus Project Management etc.
3 years of:
- Experience with creating Texas Project Delivery Framework deliverables and managing projects using this framework strongly preferred.
1 year of:
- Certified PMP
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile-related certifications
