Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per year
A bit about us:A nationally recognized litigation boutique with large firm caliber matters is adding a mid level Patent Litigation Associate. The team handles sophisticated IP disputes for clients ranging from growth companies to major enterprises and approaches every case from a practical, business first perspective. You will work on the full lifecycle of patent cases, partnering closely with lean teams that give associates real ownership and courtroom facing reps.

Job Details- Drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions through dispositive briefing
- Taking and defending fact and expert depositions
- Building infringement, non infringement, and invalidity positions and refining them as the record develops
- Managing technical and damages expert workflows and preparing for expert discovery
- Preparing claim construction strategy and briefing, including Markman hearing prep
- Contributing to trial prep and, when needed, appeal support including Federal Circuit work
- Working across major venues and dispute forums including federal courts and, depending on the case, in the ITC
Required
- 3 to 6 years of patent litigation experience (district court)
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated motion practice experience
- Deposition experience (fact and expert) or meaningful support role on multiple depositions
- Comfortable collaborating with technical experts and learning the technology fast
- Licensed and in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction
Preferred
- Claim construction briefing and hearing exposure
- Experience with complex software or technology disputes (any of software, technology, trade secret adjacent issues)
- ITC exposure
- Federal Circuit exposure
- Technical background (engineering, CS, EE, ME) is a plus, not a requirement
