We are currently looking for 'Expert Cyber Risk Management Engineer' to support one of our clients with the following skills:

 

Requirement:

Title: Expert Cyber Risk Management Engineer | Military service or experience supporting defense/government environments

Location: Oakland, CA (Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire

Employment Type: W2 or (Independent Consultants on C2C are also workable)

Rate: DOE

 

We are seeking an Expert Cyber Risk Management Engineer with strong experience in enterprise cybersecurity risk management, cloud security, and security control assessments. This role involves evaluating security frameworks, identifying cyber risks, and supporting enterprise security strategy.

Candidates with military service or experience supporting defense/government environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess enterprise cybersecurity solutions including authentication & authorization, PKI, data loss prevention, third-party risk management, and security analytics.
  • Evaluate and improve enterprise cyber risk management programs and security controls.
  • Develop frameworks, documentation, and processes to support cybersecurity assurance services.
  • Collaborate with security architects, compliance, audit, and enterprise technology teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and security control evaluations across enterprise systems.
  • Define and track KPIs and metrics for cyber risk management programs.
  • Communicate cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies to technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Support development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Provide recommendations on security tools, technologies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Cyber Risk Management / Information Security Governance
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Security and Oracle Cloud Security
  • Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience defining and monitoring cybersecurity KPIs and metrics
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and design risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience working in large enterprise cybersecurity environments

The national base pay range below is a good-faith estimate of what our client may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Client's assessment of the candidates knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications.
