Role: Python Developer

Location: Norfolk, VA / Richmond, VA / Atlanta, GA / Mason , OH (hybrid, locals only)

Duration: 12+ Months

Healthcare experience must. 6-8+ years of experience needed.

Must Have Skills:

  • 8 + Years of exp in Python Development
  • 6 + Years of Exp in RESTful APIs and
  • 6+ Years of exp in microservices.
  • Python, FastAPI, Flask, Django, SQL, AWS, REST APIs, Microservices, Healthcare Domain, HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, Git, CI/CD, Agile Scrum

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with a strong background in healthcare applications and enterprise software development.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable solutions that support healthcare business processes, data integration, analytics, and cloud-based applications. The candidate should possess strong programming skills and experience working in agile development environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices for healthcare platforms.
  • Develop data processing and integration solutions using Python and SQL.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS for application deployment and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards, data privacy, and security regulations.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI frameworks.
  • Strong SQL and database design skills.
  • Experience in API development and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Claims, Provider, Member, or Clinical systems. Knowledge of Healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, or EDI transactions.
  • Experience with data analytics, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $60/hr. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation.
