Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Website Operations Manager / Digital Product Owner to support a high-visibility enterprise digital marketing environment.

This role will serve as a key liaison between Digital Marketing, business stakeholders, and IT/development teams, helping drive website enhancements, production releases, sprint execution, and ongoing platform improvements.

The ideal candidate has previous Product Owner experience and is comfortable translating business needs into actionable user stories, managing and prioritizing a Jira backlog, leading sprint planning, working closely with development teams, and making informed prioritization decisions on behalf of stakeholders.

This is not a hands-on developer or UX/design position, but candidates should have enough technical understanding to work effectively with developers, troubleshoot website issues, and participate confidently in technical discussions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

  • Serve as a key Product Owner for website development and enhancement initiatives.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable user stories and development tickets.
  • Own and prioritize the Jira backlog based on business needs, technical dependencies, and stakeholder priorities.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum activities.
  • Partner with IT and development teams to determine sprint capacity and priorities.
  • Track development deliverables, identify blockers, and help keep projects and releases on schedule.
  • Make informed prioritization decisions when competing business needs arise.

Website Operations & Technical Delivery

  • Manage day-to-day operational needs for enterprise websites and digital platforms.
  • Triage production issues and coordinate with technical teams through resolution.
  • Support the full website deployment lifecycle from development and UAT through production.
  • Coordinate regularly scheduled website releases, including occasional after-hours production deployments.
  • Support content authors with technical website and CMS-related questions.
  • Monitor website health, performance, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve website performance, stability, and overall digital experience.

Stakeholder & IT Collaboration

  • Serve as a primary connection point between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Partner closely with IT, developers, digital marketing teams, and other stakeholders to drive website initiatives.
  • Manage conflicting stakeholder priorities and feedback while helping teams reach consensus.
  • Communicate technical issues, project status, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in development discussions and help make timely decisions that keep initiatives moving forward.

Digital Analytics & Optimization

  • Use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and other available data sources to evaluate website performance and help prioritize improvements.
  • Support data-driven decision-making using web analytics and business data.
  • Assist with technical SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) initiatives.
  • Support optimization of site speed, URL structures, schema markup, and technical search performance.
  • Help improve website visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience managing or coordinating website/digital delivery within a cross-functional enterprise environment.
  • Previous experience working in a Product Owner role is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jira, including backlog management, ticket prioritization, and sprint planning.
  • Experience partnering directly with IT and software development teams.
  • Experience managing development sprint cycles within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into clear user stories and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize development tickets on behalf of multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience managing competing stakeholder requests and driving consensus.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to evaluate website performance and inform priorities.
  • Understanding of website deployment processes, including development, testing, UAT, and production releases.
  • Familiarity with website performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and web analytics.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Sitecore or a comparable enterprise CMS.
  • Experience with Confluence.
  • Exposure to Salesforce data or Salesforce-integrated digital environments.
  • Familiarity with chatbots, localization platforms, customer review integrations, and other web technologies.
  • Knowledge of SEO and AEO concepts, including schema markup and optimization for Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other discovery platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise websites with structured release cycles.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will combine Product Owner experience with website operations and digital delivery expertise. You should be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translating those needs into development requirements, and then partnering with IT to move those initiatives through the development lifecycle.

You do not need to be a developer, but you should be technically comfortable enough to work with development teams, understand production issues, challenge priorities when necessary, and make confident decisions during a sprint or release.

Strong communication, organization, stakeholder management, and the ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward will be critical to success in this role.
