Position Overview:

We're hiring a Senior Solution Architect to design and lead end-to-end data and AI solutions, from architecture to production. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who can code, design systems, and has command across data engineering, software development progression, and AI. This role demands someone who has evolved from a Python developer into a data engineer and architect, blending hands-on coding expertise with high-level system vision.

Responsibilities:

• Architect scalable solutions integrating data platforms and AI/ML systems, not just diagrams, but implementable designs.
• Write and review backend code in Python; contribute directly to critical components.
• Design and optimize data pipelines and lakehouse architectures on Databricks.
• Lead Azure-native architecture decisions across compute, storage, networking, and AI services.
• Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across every solution you architect.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical architecture.
• Own architectural decisions on data quality, lineage, access control, and model governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated career progression evolving from core software development (preferably Python developer) into data engineering and subsequently into solution/data architecture.
• 8+ years in software/data engineering, with recent focus on solution architecture.
• Strong backend development skills in Python (production-grade, not scripting-level).
• Deep experience in data engineering, pipelines, ETL/ELT, distributed processing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of AI/ML systems, model lifecycle, LLM integrations, MLOps.
• Proven experience architecting solutions combining data platforms + AI capabilities.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, workflows).
• Strong command of Azure architecture and ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ML services, networking, IAM).
• Working knowledge of data governance frameworks, security best practices (encryption, RBAC, compliance standards like SOC2/GDPR/HIPAA as applicable), and audit/monitoring practices.
• Ability to communicate architecture decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
