Summary

Senior Tax & Accounting Manager (CPA)

Work & Responsibilities:

  • Tax returns, financial statements, trust returns, financial planning, and help with financing
  • POC (Percentage of Completion) accounting – goes beyond basic tax and book accounting
  • EBITDA calculations and year-end planning (heavy focus in October/November)
  • Estate plans and taxes
  • Multi-state tax returns
  • Referral work
  • October/November: review books and tax planning.

 

Required Qualification:

  • Active CPA license
  • Bachelor''''s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Extensive experience managing tax and accounting engagements
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Strong proficiency with Thomson Reuters software products
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Exceptional client relationship and people-management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, accountability, and quality service.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience overseeing multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience developing, training, and mentoring professional staff
  • Business development and practice growth experience
