Senior Tax & Accounting Manager (CPA)

Work & Responsibilities:

Tax returns, financial statements, trust returns, financial planning, and help with financing
POC (Percentage of Completion) accounting – goes beyond basic tax and book accounting
EBITDA calculations and year-end planning (heavy focus in October/November)
Estate plans and taxes
Multi-state tax returns
Referral work
October/November: review books and tax planning.

Required Qualification:

Active CPA license
Bachelor''''s degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive public accounting experience
Extensive experience managing tax and accounting engagements
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and financial reporting requirements
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Desktop
Strong proficiency with Thomson Reuters software products
Proven leadership and team management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Exceptional client relationship and people-management skills
Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, accountability, and quality service.

Preferred:

Experience overseeing multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
Experience developing, training, and mentoring professional staff
Business development and practice growth experience

Experience working with closely held businesses, construction companies, manufacturing companies, and high-net-worth individuals
