Senior Network IV&V Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Network IV&V Engineer leads independent verification and validation (IV&V) activities for complex enterprise network infrastructure projects. This role applies advanced networking expertise to evaluate network designs and implementations for quality, performance, reliability, and security. The position collaborates with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and other technical teams to assess, validate, and improve network solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead IV&V activities for complex network architectures, including design reviews, configuration audits, and performance validation.
• Develop and execute comprehensive IV&V test plans, procedures, and scripts to evaluate network integrity, reliability, performance, and compliance with established requirements.
• Analyze network designs and implementations to evaluate alignment with industry standards, organizational policies, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with network architects, engineers, and cybersecurity teams to identify technical risks and validate mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical guidance related to enterprise routing, switching, network security, and associated technologies throughout the IV&V process.
• Troubleshoot and validate network issues identified during testing and provide detailed root-cause analyses and remediation recommendations.
• Prepare reports, technical documentation, and presentations summarizing IV&V findings for technical and leadership audiences.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and promote best practices in network validation and quality assurance.
• Maintain knowledge of evolving enterprise networking technologies, industry best practices, and applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit and compliance activities through thorough documentation of IV&V processes, test results, findings, and remediation activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with enterprise network technologies, including routing, switching, and network security.
• Strong experience with network design assessment, configuration auditing, performance testing, and validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently evaluate complex network environments.
• Experience developing and executing IV&V test plans, procedures, and scripts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, and other cross-functional technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex network issues and provide appropriate remediation recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Ability to work onsite as required by the position.
• Relevant networking certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, or comparable certifications, are preferred.
• Must meet applicable U.S. work authorization requirements.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.00 - $60.00 USD Hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
