SAP Business Warehouse Architect

Supports existing SAP Business Warehouse solution and assists with design, development, configuration and tuning of new and existing Business Warehouse extractors, data providers, cubes and reports.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the current BW solution and assisting with the design, development, configuration, and performance tuning of BW data models, extractors, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide architecture and production support for the existing SAP BW environment, including troubleshooting and resolving data load, extraction, and reporting issues.

• Design, develop, architect and configure SAP BW extractors, data sources, transformations, and data providers.

• Develop and maintain InfoProviders such as InfoCubes, DSOs/ADSOs, and Composite Providers.

• Build and optimize BW queries, reports, and dashboards using BW reporting tools (BEx, Analysis for Office, or other front-end tools).

• Monitor and maintain data loads, process chains, and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and availability.

• Perform performance tuning of BW objects, queries, and data loads to improve system efficiency.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

• Analyze data issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.

• Assist in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements for the SAP BW environment.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for BW developments, extractors, and reporting solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW 7.x or BW/4HANA).

• Experience developing extractors, transformations, DTPs, and process chains.

• Knowledge of InfoObjects, InfoCubes, DSOs/ADSOs, and Composite Providers.

• Experience with BEx Queries and reporting tools.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning.

• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA data integration.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP BW on HANA or BW/4HANA.

• Knowledge of SAP BO, SAP Analytics Cloud, or other BI tools.

• Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging for extractors.

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
