Summary

Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential - and people too. With a culture that's all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology - and careers - to the next level.

Snowflake redefined the data landscape over a decade ago by building a Data Cloud with industry-leading performance and price for data at any scale and for multiple workloads: data engineering, data analytics, and AI/ML.

At Snowflake, our biggest opportunity is also our customers' biggest challenge: migration. For every enterprise ready to harness the power of the AI Data Cloud, there lies a complex web of legacy systems that can take years and millions of dollars to untangle. The Migrations team is tasked with a mission of strategic importance: to turn this multi-year roadblock into a streamlined, intelligent, and automated experience. We believe Generative AI is the key. We are building products that don't just move data, but understand and rewrite the logic of entire data applications.

We're seeking a visionary Engineering Manager to own this charter, and build the AI-powered engine that will onboard the next wave of Snowflake customers. Your work will directly impact Snowflake's growth and change the way an entire industry approaches digital transformation.

AS A MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL LEAD A TEAM OF TALENTED ENGINEERS IN:
  • Lead a growing team of talented engineers in the design, development and support of our AI-powered migrations product
  • Deliver products in a fast-paced ecosystem of professional services, partners, and customers that rely heavily on the technology.
  • Guide the team through an evolving AI ecosystem to build AI-first products.
  • Support engineers in their career development by providing clear feedback and developing engineering leaders
  • Translate product requirements into engineering work for your team
  • Collaborate with other local and global teams/leaders in the Engineering and Product Management organizations
  • Use your strong foundation as a technical leader to reliably deliver on complex projects while keeping the quality bar high
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation while also promoting practical decision-making

OUR IDEAL SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER WILL HAVE:
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) building and delivering enterprise products
  • Strong familiarity with data ecosystems (databases, analytics, data engineering, ETL)
  • Experience building and delivering tools or platforms for data engineers or developers
  • Proven experience delivering products, particularly those involving AI-powered code translation, developer co-pilots, or complex semantic validation

WHY JOIN OUR MIGRATIONS TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE?

Joining the Migrations product team at Snowflake offers an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of data and application modernization, directly impacting customer success by enabling the strategic leveraging of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. You'll tackle complex, high-value challenges, building essential products and APIs that simplify intricate data ecosystem migrations-from ETL pipelines to applications-for our customers and partners. Your contributions will directly accelerate the adoption of Snowflake, driving significant value and cementing our customers' investment in a modern, AI-ready future.

Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company's confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. Snowflake employees must abide by the company's data security plan as an essential part of their duties. It is every employee's duty to keep customer information secure and confidential.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we're scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
