This individual will serve as a key communications resource responsible for developing and executing both internal and external communications initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong independent contributor who can manage communications from strategy through execution with minimal oversight.
This is not a people management role. The manager is specifically seeking a seasoned communications professional who remains hands-on and can independently create, edit, and deploy communication assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication plans and messaging strategies.
- Create communications for employee audiences across multiple channels.
- Draft, edit, and publish:
- Employee communications
- Intranet articles
- Internal email campaigns
- Employee engagement posts
- Social media content (primarily LinkedIn)
- Marketing communications assets
- Landing page content
- Manage communications from concept through final execution.
- Coordinate stakeholder reviews and approvals.
- Support communications related to major business initiatives, organizational changes, events, and business priorities.
- Assist with communications supporting the annual ASTRO conference and other high-profile initiatives.
Internal vs. External Communications Focus
- Approximately 70% Internal Communications
- Approximately 30% External/Marketing Communications
Priority will be given to candidates with strong internal/corporate communications experience, although exposure to external communications and social media is highly desirable.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 10+ years of communications experience
- Strong background in Corporate/Internal Communications
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling abilities
- Experience tailoring messaging for different audiences and communication channels
- Ability to take complex information and translate it into clear, concise, audience-friendly communications
- Experience managing communications end-to-end, from strategy through execution
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Marketing Communications (MarCom) experience
- LinkedIn/social media content development experience
- Understanding of social media best practices, including:
- Copy development
- Visual selection
- Calls-to-action
- Landing page alignment
- Experience supporting large corporate initiatives and events
Technical Skills
Preferred experience with:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- PowerPoint (heavily utilized by the team)
- SharePoint site creation and maintenance
- Microsoft Teams and Teams Channels
- Employee communication platforms or email deployment tools
- Experience with tools similar to YesPress is helpful, but direct YesPress experience is not required

The manager is looking for a senior communications professional individual contributor
who can quickly step in and produce high-quality communications with limited onboarding. Candidates should demonstrate a strong mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Work Environment
- Preference for candidates located in Pacific Time Zone, but location is flexible for the right candidate.
- Remote candidates are acceptable.
- Standard business hours with flexibility required.
- Occasional early morning meetings may be necessary to support stakeholders in Germany.
Education
- Bachelor''''s degree preferred.
- Relevant communications experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
Interview Process
