Genesis10 is currently seeking a Container Architect - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing containerization strategies for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will use platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient environments, with a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. The architect will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to enable modern application deployment and orchestration.
Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and manage containerization strategies across enterprise applications
- Ensure scalable, secure, and efficient container-based environments using platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to enable modern application deployment and orchestration
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years in container technologies
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins and GitLab)
- Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid deployments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Understanding of container security and compliance frameworks
- Experience with data modelling and architecture
- Experience with Agile tools (Jira)
Desired skills: - Experience with OpenShift
- Knowledge of API gateways
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk)
- Experience with Spring Boot
Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour
