API Developer

Role: API Developer

Location: Hybrid (Princeton, NJ)

Description:
Establish first direct exchange of engineering survey data between client companies and HSB in order to incorporate the data directly into their internal underwriting workflows. Establish the capability for a direct method for requesting data from HSB as well as report delivery back to the client company via integration.

Key Responsibilities:
Proficiency with Web Service hosting, Azure Function, and Logic Apps is required
CI/CD Familiarity – ability to work with DevSecOps to enhance existing and run pipelines
Provide KT/Run handover documentation
Develop Azure Function Apps primarily triggered via HTTP.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure Functions and API performance.
Design and implement RESTful API endpoints and services.
Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure robust and reliable application behavior.
Configure and manage API gateways using Azure API Management (APIM).
Document code and technical processes clearly.
Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices for cloud-native development.

Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years hands-on expertise with Azure Functions (HTTP triggered functions), Logic Apps, and Azure API Management (APIM).
5+ years experience designing and building REST API and HTTP protocols.
4+ years experience in writing unit tests using relevant testing frameworks (e.g., MSTest, NUnit, xUnit, or JavaScript testing tools like Jest).
5+ years experience with Azure API Management (APIM) including policy configuration, provisioning, and deployment.
3+ years experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
3+ years experience with current Logic Apps low-code workflow structure in json format and Azure functions in C# .Net.
3+ years experience with Cloud security best practices related to APIs and serverless architectures.
3+ years experience with Azure Key Vault.
4+ years experience with Azure DevOps Pipeline usage.
5+ years experience with Azure Logic Apps.
Proficient with the C# programming language.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in agile environments
