Job Description

You will be the Specialty Engineering Associate Manager for the Advanced Programs Line of Business - Maintainability Discipline. Our team pioneers maintainability strategies, designs innovative maintenance concepts, and embeds design for maintainability across cutting edge aerospace programs.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Specialty Engineering Associate Manager you will lead a high performing group of engineers, act as the technical champion for the maintainability discipline, and shape the vision and execution of maintenance focused solutions. You'll interface with senior leadership and customers, while staying hands on with key analyses, tool development, and proposal activities.

Your responsibilities will include:
Defining and developing maintenance concepts such as task analysis, level of repair studies, spares forecasting, and maintainability demonstrations.
Influencing program requirements and specifications for Reliability, Testability, and Maintainability.
Steering proposal efforts and manpower planning that highlight our discipline's value.
Reviewing engineering specifications and drawings, recommending design refinements that boost sustainment metrics.
Delivering clear status briefings and technical updates to Lockheed Martin leadership and customer stakeholders.
Managing talent through staffing, coaching, performance reviews, training plans, time card approvals, and regular employee check ins.
Partnering with proposals teams to ensure technical integrity and competitive advantage.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
This position is in Grand Prairie, TX.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Strong technical background and previous professional technical experience; a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (studies in engineering or engineering/technology preferred)
Proficient in accomplishment of development/definition of maintenance concepts for systems
Experience with analyzing engineering design of products (including specifications for maintenance requirements) using knowledge of maintainability engineering and related technologies.
Familiarity with Reliability, Testability, and Human Factors Engineering concepts and considerations
Ability to travel to support Flight Tests, System Demonstrations and program reviews
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
Candidate should be an analytical thinker with demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovations.
Experience collaborating with and working in conjunction with other functions and engineering groups to achieve desirable results
Ability to communicate, effectively interface and influence multiple levels of executives and a broad range of internal and external customers
Demonstration of full spectrum leadership qualities

Desired skills

Knowledgeable of military handbooks/guidelines, specifically MIL-HDBK-470A, MIL-HDBK-472
Proficient use of Model Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo)
Experience generating/influencing initial maintainability and reliability requirements, program plans & analyses
Ability to utilize best practices of design and test that will assist in improving Built-In-Test (BIT) capabilities.
Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance
Experience with missile systems and/or sensor systems

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
