Job Title: iOS Developer/ Software Engineer

Location: Fort Mill, SC (Onsite)

Duration: 3-6 months (Contract to hire)

Job Description:

The Software Engineer – iOS is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, & supporting native iOS applications that enable critical business capabilities across the enterprise. This role delivers high-quality, maintainable, & scalable Swift-based solutions while working closely with product owners, backend engineers, & business stakeholders. The engineer will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, including application architecture, feature development, API integration, testing, troubleshooting, & production support for multiple enterprise mobile applications.

Position Responsibilities

•          Develop, maintain, & enhance multiple native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.

•          Design & implement scalable, high-performance mobile solutions that meet user & business requirements.

•          Collaborate with product, UX, & backend teams to translate business requirements into intuitive mobile experiences.

•          Integrate & consume RESTful APIs & backend services to support application functionality.

•          Troubleshoot, debug, & resolve complex application issues across development, testing, & production environments.

•          Participate in code reviews & contribute to engineering best practices, coding standards, & architectural decisions.

•          Create & execute unit tests and UI tests to ensure application quality, reliability, & performance.

•          Monitor application health & proactively identify opportunities for optimization & modernization.

•          Support the full mobile application lifecycle, including feature enhancements, maintenance releases, & defect resolution.

•          Collaborate effectively within Agile development teams & contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications Education & Experience

•          Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

•          3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on native iOS development.

•          Recent hands-on experience developing & supporting native iOS applications in production environments.

•          Professional experience developing applications using Swift.

•          At least 1 year of experience developing user interfaces with SwiftUI.

•          Experience supporting & enhancing existing enterprise-grade iOS applications.

•          Experience working with multiple iOS applications rather than a single mobile product.

•          Experience integrating & troubleshooting backend APIs & web services.

Technical Skills

•          Strong proficiency in Swift & native iOS application development.

•          Experience developing applications targeting modern iOS platforms, including iOS 18.

•          Understanding of iOS frameworks, application lifecycle management, memory management, & performance optimization.

•          Experience consuming RESTful APIs, JSON services, & backend integrations.

•          Experience with Xcode, Objective-C, UIKit, Swift & Apple''s native development ecosystem.

•          Knowledge of mobile design patterns, architecture principles, & secure coding practices.

•          Experience writing & maintaining unit tests and UI automation tests.

•          Familiarity with Git-based source control & collaborative development workflows.

•          Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

•          Experience modernizing legacy iOS applications to Swift & SwiftUI.

•          Experience developing applications that support enterprise business operations.

•          Experience improving application performance, stability, & user experience through data-driven enhancements.
