Title : Metering Systems Specialist – Itron Headend
Location : Minneapolis, MN (Onsite)
Rate : $57/hr on W2
We are looking for a hands-on Metering Systems Specialist with strong experience in Itron headend platforms including FCS, Temetra, MV90, and UIQ. The role involves configuring, supporting, and optimizing meter data collection systems, managing batch operations, troubleshooting meter communication and data issues, and supporting integrations with MDMS, CIS/Billing, OMS, and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
· Configure and support Itron systems: FCS, Temetra, MV90, and UIQ.
· Manage meter onboarding, configurations, templates, and lifecycle activities.
· Monitor and troubleshoot interval, register, and event data collection processes.
· Configure, schedule, and optimize batch jobs for meter reads and data processing.
· Support integrations between headend systems and downstream utility applications.
· Analyze logs, resolve data flow issues, and ensure data accuracy and operational reliability.
Required Skills
· Strong hands-on experience with MV90, Temetra, FCS, and UIQ.
· Knowledge of AMI/AMR environments, meter data structures, and batch processing.
· Experience with SQL and UNIX.
· Understanding of utility operations, billing cycles, validation, and outage processes.
· Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred
· Utility industry experience (electric, gas, or water).
· Experience with SAP IS-U or similar CIS platforms.
· Exposure to AMI rollouts, meter migrations, or system upgrades.
