They possess a holistic understanding of how group business is sourced, distributed, managed, priced, booked, and executed across the hospitality ecosystem. They have recent, hands-on experience with Delphi and MeetingBroker. They can advise on both technology integration and business process transformation across the meetings and events lifecycle.
Hospitality Technology SME
Role Overview
We are seeking a Hospitality Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a strategic initiative involving Amadeus Delphi as the core Sales & Catering platform within a large hotel enterprise environment. The SME will provide advisory and implementation expertise across the group sales, meetings, and events technology ecosystem, with a particular focus on demand generation channels, lead sourcing platforms, MeetingBroker integrations, reservations, pricing, and PMS connectivity.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, system integrators, and platform vendors to ensure a comprehensive understanding of current-state processes, integration requirements, and future-state capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Catering Platform Expertise
Provide deep subject matter expertise in Amadeus Delphi (Delphi Cloud and/or Delphi.fdc).
Advise on group sales, catering, events, and lead management workflows.
Support requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation planning.
Identify best practices for lead routing, opportunity management, quoting, contracting, and event execution.
Group Demand Generation Ecosystem
Assess and document how group business is sourced through traditional and emerging channels.
Provide expertise on:
o Cvent Supplier Network
o Convention & Visitors Bureaus (CVBs)
o Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs)
o Third-party planner marketplaces
o Emerging sourcing platforms such as Hopskip and similar channels
Analyze lead generation and conversion workflows across sourcing platforms.
MeetingBroker & Integration Architecture
Provide hands-on expertise with Amadeus MeetingBroker.
Understand and document:
o Cvent-to-MeetingBroker workflows
o MeetingBroker-to-Delphi integrations
o Lead routing and qualification processes
o Property-level and enterprise-level sales workflows
Advise on integration design and operational considerations.
Reservations, Pricing & PMS Integration
Understand the end-to-end lifecycle from lead generation through booking and stay execution.
Advise on integrations between Delphi and:
o PMS platforms (e.g., Opera and Marriott ecosystem solutions)
o Group reservations systems
o Revenue Management Systems (RMS)
o Pricing and inventory management platforms
o CRM and customer profile systems
Identify dependencies, risks, and operational impacts across systems.
Strategic Advisory
Provide industry perspectives on evolving group sales and sourcing trends.
Recommend future-state operating models and integration approaches.
Support stakeholder workshops and executive discussions.
Validate requirements and identify gaps in current processes and technology architecture.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in hospitality technology, group sales, catering, or meetings & events technology.
Deep expertise with Amadeus Delphi and related sales and catering processes.
Strong knowledge of Amadeus MeetingBroker and group lead management workflows.
Experience working with hotel brands, management companies, or large hospitality organizations.
Demonstrated understanding of group reservations, pricing, inventory management, and PMS integrations.
Experience with Cvent Supplier Network and other group sourcing channels.
Ability to translate business processes into technology requirements and integration specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct participation in one or more Delphi and/or MeetingBroker implementations, migrations, or rollouts within the past 3 5 years.
Experience supporting Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, or other large hotel enterprises.
Familiarity with Marriott's sales, events, and group booking ecosystem.
Experience with Opera PMS and related hospitality platforms.
Understanding of emerging sourcing platforms such as Hopskip and evolving planner acquisition models.
Experience collaborating with system integrators, software vendors, and enterprise architecture teams.
