Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity and immediate need on the E-7A Program for a Mid-Level/Lead Systems Engineer to join our E-7A Systems Engineering team based in Oklahoma City, OK. Due to expanding business, we are looking for engineers with a multi-discipline skill set who can solve problems and lead solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.

The E-7 is the world's most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world. The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships.

This position will work across multiple E-7A programs supporting development of new capabilities for the E-7A program.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Experience in system architecture development and modeling tools (CAMEO/MSOSA, Rhapsody)
  • Experience in evaluating complex systems, analysis methods, and conducting multi-disciplinary trade studies
  • Experience in requirements development, management and tools (i.e. IBM DOORS)
  • Experience in verification & validation of requirements
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and leadership
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and create plans for executing on deliverables
  • Experience in interface development and documentation
  • Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management
  • Experience in Airworthiness and Certification (including FAA, EASA, Military)
  • INCOSE Certification.

Experienced Level: $104,550 - $141,450

Lead Level: $127,500 - $172,500
