Position Summary :

This role is ideal for someone who is early career but high trajectory: a strong analyst with solid SQL, curiosity, and the ability to use AI as a multiplier. The right candidate will meaningfully expand the team''''s capacity and help us shape the next generation of government data solutions.

Description :

Client is seeking a Systems Analyst with strong analytical skills, above average SQL proficiency, and emerging fluency in AI/LLM based tools. This role blends classic systems analysis with modern AI assisted solution delivery. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and motivated to work in a mission driven public sector environment where rapid, high quality turnaround is essential. This is a consulting role focused on delivery, clarity, and hands on problem solving. It is not a senior developer role.

Responsibilities :

  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to elicit, clarify, and structure requirements, using both traditional methods and AI assisted techniques.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, data mappings, and workflow logic for MDM and related systems.
  • Use SQL/PLSQL to profile data, validate assumptions, investigate anomalies, and support data quality initiatives.
  • Apply AI/LLM tools to:
    • accelerate requirements analysis
    • generate draft documentation, test cases, and data rules
    • summarize complex policy or technical content
    • support rapid prototyping and solution exploration
  • Collaborate with MDM developers, architects, and data stewards to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
  • Participate in system testing, data validation, and defect triage, including AI assisted test generation where appropriate.
  • Produce clear, concise documentation suitable for technical and non technical audiences.
  • Support continuous improvement of MDM processes, data governance practices, and AI enabled workflows.
  • Communicate risks, blockers, and dependencies with clarity and professionalism.

Required Skills :

  • Strong SQL or PL/SQL skills (data profiling, joins, aggregations, troubleshooting).
  • Ability to understand and model business processes, data flows, and system interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI/LLM tools (e.g., for analysis, summarization, prototyping, documentation).
  • Solid analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills - able to translate between business and technical perspectives.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast moving environment and collaborate across teams.
  • Comfort with iterative, rapid turnaround solution cycles.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with Python for data manipulation, orchestration or automation.
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management concepts (survivorship, matching, data quality, golden records).
  • Exposure to government programs, eligibility systems, or public sector data environments.
  • Experience with Oracle databases or enterprise data platforms.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration patterns.
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, or testing.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor''''s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in systems analysis, data analysis, or related technical roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
