Shift Lead - L2 DC Tech

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Shift Lead - L2 DC Tech in Abernathy, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for helping maintain shift productivity and work-quality discipline, ensuring technicians follow established installation standards and processes.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience in data center installations or a similar hands-on technical role, with the ability to lead technicians during active deployment and installation work
* Must have hands-on experience testing, running, and troubleshooting fiber
* Experience with power distribution within racks, including PDUs, dual feeds, and redundancy concepts
* Experience with system deployment activities, including OS installation and imaging tools such as PXE, ISO-based installs, or automated deployment tools; Basic BIOS and firmware configuration; Hardware validation and troubleshooting
* Working knowledge of data center cooling methodologies, including DX airflow management within racks; Direct-to-chip (D2C) liquid cooling systems, including installation, connection handling, and basic validation
* Strong understanding of rack infrastructure, servers, storage, and network hardware, including installation, configuration, and hardware validation
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations within data center environments, with the ability to reinforce safe work practices across the shift
* Familiarity with post-install validation and quality assurance processes, with the ability to ensure work meets established quality standards
* Proficiency in structured cabling, including fiber and copper installation, routing, labeling, testing, troubleshooting, and cable management best practices
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills during installations, serving as a technical escalation point and providing real-time coaching to technicians during live execution
* Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate day-to-day shift execution and escalate blockers or technical issues when necessary
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, MOPs, and work packages and translate requirements into technician assignments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
