Location: Columbia, MD (Local to DC / MD / VA only)
Work Type: Hybrid (Onsite 1 2 times/week or 2 3 times/month)

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned AWS Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud administration, infrastructure, and automation. The role involves new implementations, migrations, and optimization of AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS cloud architecture
• Manage and optimize AWS environments (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)
• Support cloud migrations and new implementations
• Handle patching, upgrades, and occasional after-hours support
• Work on network architecture within AWS
• Monitor systems using tools like Dynatrace / Datadog / Prometheus

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 7 years of overall IT infrastructure experience
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS cloud administration
• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Availability Zones)
• AWS network architecture knowledge
• Experience with Load Balancers (ALB & NLB)
• Knowledge of DNS, Static IPs, Public/Private IPs
• Experience with API connectivity (web services)
• Understanding of SFTP / FTP
• Experience with IBM MQ (Mandatory)
• Monitoring tools experience (Dynatrace preferred)
• Strong Linux environment experience (basic scripting is a plus)

• 3 rounds of interviews (2 virtual + 1 onsite)
• Candidates must be local and open to onsite requirements
• Hands-on role; not suitable for network-only engineers
