Oracle EBS DBA role
Term of Contract - Multi-Year (Referral Provided for One Year)
*Must be within 2 hrs drive of Richmond VA. Although majority of work will be remote, they must be close enough to drive in for occasional ON-SITE meetings and special events when required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Oracle Database & System Administrator to support the accounting system, Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR) and the 25 Oracle APEX applications and the underlying Oracle Databases. This includes quarterly security patching, system and database upgrades, problem resolution and deployments. This role requires knowledge of Oracle EBS and Oracle database features. Experience with applications developed using Oracle APEX versions 21and 24 and workflow features. This position may require some night and weekend work due to patching.
·Experience with Oracle Application database administration version 19
·Experience with Oracle APEX versions 21 and 24with workflow
·Experience with deploying changes for APEX applications
·Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 running in Linux environment
·Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) System Administration
·Oracle database upgrade experience
·Experience with Windows and Linux OS
·Experience with Oracle database maintenance, patching/upgrades, creating Oracle service requests, resolving issues promptly
·Experience with the Oracle database job scheduler
·Strong understanding of RDBMS principles, Oracle database related best practices and good understanding of software development life cycle
·Ability to work independently, effectively communicate with team members, and provide accurate and realistic effort estimates
·Strong verbal and written communication skills
·Experience with SQL, PLSQL
·Experience with Unified Auditing is a plus
·Experience with writing scripts to perform routine data loads
·Some experience with designing Oracle solutions and software development
·Experience with migrating Oracle EBS and databases from on-prem Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) servers to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
·Experience with waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies
·Ability to create usable technical documentation
