About the Role: The Child Support System Enhancement effort aims to migrate critical functionality from a legacy mainframe to a modern, web‑based platform. The goal is to improve scalability, security, usability, and overall user experience while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This modernization involves re-engineering business processes, adopting new technologies, and integrating with existing systems in an Agile environment.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will help lead the modernization effort, ensuring organized planning, clear communication, and alignment across all teams. You will collaborate with staff, stakeholders, vendors, and partners to guide day‑to‑day progress, resolve issues, and maintain project stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle project planning: scope definition, detailed work plans, integrated schedules, and dependency mapping.
• Drive execution by coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring on-time, high‑quality delivery.
• Maintain clear communication through meetings, documentation, decisions, and action tracking.
• Identify and assess risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Oversee budgets and schedules, monitor variances, and forecast resource needs.
• Lead quality assurance activities including reviews, test planning, validation, and defect resolution.
• Provide clear project status updates, risks, issues, decisions, and upcoming milestones to leadership.

Required Skills & QualificationsProject Leadership & Delivery

• Leading complex, multi‑phase IT projects from planning to close‑out.
• Experience managing structured project lifecycles and PMO processes.
• Experience: 10 years (Required)

Technical Project & Systems Management

• Experience with modernization, legacy migration, and system integration.
• Overseeing web‑based application development and platform enhancements.
• Experience: 10 years (Required)

Planning, Forecasting & Estimation

• Creating roadmaps, WBS, project schedules, and resource forecasts.
• Budget tracking and variance management.
• Experience: 10 years (Required)

Risk, Issue & Change Management

• Identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Supporting release readiness and change impact assessments.
• Experience: 10 years (Required)

Agile Delivery & Team Collaboration

• Supporting Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery practices.
• Experience: 5 years (Required)

Tools & Technologies

• Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, JIRA, or similar tools.
• Experience: 3 years (Required)

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

• Strong communication with executives, partners, vendors, and technical teams.
• Facilitating cross-team decisions and relationships.
• Experience: 10 years (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Child Support programs or government projects (1 year highly desired).
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile, Scrum Master.
• SDLC and coding familiarity; ability to translate technical details to business teams.
