Title: .Net Solution Architect (Remote)

Overview
- The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end technical architecture for enterprise systems in alignment with the client standards and the EIMS future-state architecture.
- This role provides architectural leadership across application design, integrations, security, infrastructure, and DevOps to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and maintainable.
- The architect works closely with development teams, client's infrastructure and security partners, and program stakeholders to ensure technical solutions support regulatory requirements and long-term modernization goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Solution Design
- Define and maintain enterprise and solution architectures aligned with client's standards.
- Establish architectural principles, standards, and approved design patterns.
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, security, and maintainability requirements.
- Review and approve architectural designs and technical approaches.
2. Integration & Security Architecture
- Define and govern integrations between:
- RCRAInfo
- UIC applications
- GIS systems
- Identity and access management (OKTA)
- Establish secure API standards, data exchange methods, and versioning practices.
- Ensure consistent authentication, authorization, and encryption across systems.
3. Technical Oversight & Guidance
- Perform architecture and targeted code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.
- Identify architectural risks and technical debt; recommend remediation strategies.
- Assess architectural impact of enhancements and change requests.
4. Infrastructure, Deployment & Governance
- Coordinate with client's infrastructure teams on hosting models, environments, and capacity planning.
- Partner with security teams on vulnerability remediation and compliance validation.
- Support deployment and release approvals by ensuring architectural readiness.
- Participate in architectural review boards and governance forums.

Technology Environment (Architecture-Focused)
- Application Platforms: .NET, Java, Node.js (stack-agnostic)

- Integration: REST APIs, API gateways
- Security: OKTA, OAuth2, SAML
- GIS: ArcGIS or equivalent
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Technical Architect or Solution Architect on enterprise systems.
- Strong expertise in application architecture, API design, and system integration.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management solutions (OKTA or similar).
- Experience working in government or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of secure software development and infrastructure coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with environmental or regulatory systems (RCRA, UIC, GIS).
- Familiarity with hybrid or cloud-adjacent architectures and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience working with state IT governance organizations (e.g., DoIT).
