Cloud Data Engineer ( Only Locals to Virginia)

Job Description: Client is seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join their development team and help build modern, cloud native applications across leading cloud platforms, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Azure. Working within OIM (Office of Information Management) and under guidance from SEAT (Solutions Engineering and Architecture Team), the ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, cloud services, and a passion for designing scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. Additionally, they will explore emerging data technologies, stay updated with industry advancements, and document processes for knowledge sharing. The engineer will also support the Data Management team in all its data transmission tasks.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 4 years of experience with cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Azure services, including App Service, AKS, Functions, Storage, and Databases
• Minimum 3 years of experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Minimum 3 years of experience with programming languages, such as C#, Java, Python, Go, and Node.js
• Minimum 3 years of experience with DevOps tools, including Azure DevOps and GitLab
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), data protection, and cloud security best practices
• Minimum 3 years of experience with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL databases
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Minimum 4 years of experience demonstrating strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
