Description: NEED TO SOURCE FOR BOTH INTERMEDIATE AND SENIOR LEVEL CANDIDATES. $46/hour max for intermediate and $53/hour max for Senior level. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Application Systems Analyst to support an expanding enterprise application integration initiative involving its Learning Management System (LMS) and several connected enterprise platforms.
As the project has evolved, the scope has expanded beyond the original LMS implementation and now impacts a broader population across the organization. The team is seeking technical systems analysis professionals who can translate existing business and technical requirements into testable user stories, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, validate data across interconnected applications, and identify defects and integration gaps.
This is a hands-on role with an approximately 60/40 emphasis on systems analysis and technical testing versus traditional business analysis. The individual will work primarily with technical teams, developers, and application resources rather than focusing on business stakeholder requirements gathering.
The ideal candidate has strong enterprise application experience and can independently develop test scripts, execute functional and end-to-end testing, analyze results, validate data, and coordinate defect resolution across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities - Translate existing business and technical requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and clearly defined acceptance criteria.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to support application implementations and system integrations.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Perform end-to-end application testing across the LMS and connected enterprise systems.
- Validate data moving between applications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Write and execute SQL queries to investigate data discrepancies and verify expected system results.
- Analyze test results, identify defects and functional gaps, and document findings for technical teams.
- Perform defect analysis, coordinate troubleshooting, and support retesting following application fixes.
- Work closely with developers, system analysts, and technical project teams to investigate application behavior and validate integration outcomes.
- Ensure test coverage addresses system dependencies and downstream impacts across interconnected applications.
- Support ongoing quality assurance activities throughout the implementation and integration lifecycle.
Required Qualifications - Strong experience as an Application Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Business Systems Analyst, QA Analyst, or similar technical role.
- Hands-on experience developing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
- Demonstrated experience with functional, regression, integration, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience testing enterprise applications and integrations involving multiple interconnected systems.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and executable test scenarios.
- Experience validating data across systems and investigating discrepancies.
- Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to write queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience identifying, documenting, and analyzing application defects and functional gaps.
- Strong understanding of application workflows, system dependencies, and integration testing methodologies.
- Ability to work directly with technical teams and independently manage testing activities.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting large-scale enterprise application implementations, migrations, or integration projects.
- Healthcare IT experience, particularly within complex healthcare application environments.
- Exposure to Epic, LMS, HRIS, or other enterprise application ecosystems.
- Experience with data mapping, interface validation, and cross-platform integration testing.
- Experience supporting quality assurance and testing across multiple applications simultaneously.
- Senior-level candidates should demonstrate the ability to independently own test planning, execution, analysis, and defect follow-up.
Systems and Applications The project currently involves testing and integration across the following platforms:
- Learning Management System (LMS)
- Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- SIMpoint (new system)
- Epic
Candidates should have experience working across interconnected enterprise applications. Direct experience with every listed platform is not required unless subsequently specified by the hiring team.
Candidate Profile The strongest candidates will be technically oriented systems analysts who have personally developed and executed test cases, performed end-to-end application testing, validated data using SQL, and worked through defects with development teams.
Candidates whose experience is primarily traditional business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, or test coordination without hands-on test execution will be a lower priority.
Recruiting Priority: Prioritize Senior Application Systems Analysts and Senior Systems Analysts with strong QA, integration testing, and SQL/data validation experience. Intermediate-level candidates may also be considered depending on the final hiring approvals.
