Technical Lead / Architect
Type: 6 Month Contract-To-Hire
Location: 100% Remote (CST)
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead / Architect to lead a team responsible for the performance, stability, and ongoing support of a critical enterprise application. This role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, software development, DevOps oversight, production operations, and people leadership.
The ideal candidate will own the application lifecycle from architecture and deployment through production support, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution across Product Operations.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and production-ready application solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Remain hands-on with development, troubleshooting, and complex technical problem-solving.
- Own application health, performance, availability, and operational stability.
- Oversee production support, incident response, deployments, and release management.
- Partner with DevOps, QA, Support, Business Analysts, Product Management, and Engineering teams.
- Mentor and lead technical staff, driving accountability and technical excellence.
- Serve as the highest-level technical escalation point for critical production issues.
- Coordinate with offshore development teams to ensure successful transition of new functionality into production.
Qualifications
- Progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Engineering Manager.
- Strong background in application architecture, software development, DevOps, and production support.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
- Experience supporting and operating enterprise applications in production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management experience.
- Track record of driving technical delivery across development, operations, and support functions.
- Experience collaborating with distributed and offshore teams.
