Provide architectural expertise, support, planning, design, development, and quality assurance across the platforms.
Deliver architectural guidance, technical oversight, and mentoring to the developer team.
Work with the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) to set up, install, and configure all core software supporting the Virtual Managed Infrastructure.
Support all Java applications across the entire OTDA infrastructure.
Assist the project team with definition, design, construction, testing, performance tuning, and certification of applications.
Ensure projects follow NYS ITS architectural standards, best practices, and conduct technical reviews for compliance.
Identify technology reuse opportunities and contribute to reusable object/component libraries.
Architect robust, scalable application models and technical designs.
Plan and coordinate infrastructure requirements, server capacity planning, and Tier 1 / Tier 2 server upgrades.
Coordinate documentation and testing requirements with technical leads, and review unit, component, and integrated tests for performance and functionality.
Migrate existing application code to deploy onto the latest application server environments.
Plan and coordinate Okta migration changes from Tier 1 to Tier 2.
Monitor application performance, perform tuning, and guide production troubleshooting and resolution efforts.
Meet regularly with management to report on scheduled work progress.
Complete all ITS Mandated Trainings and directly transfer knowledge to state staff.
