Role Overview:

This is a hands-on Lead Engineer position supporting multiple projects. The engineer will collaborate with business, product, Technical Program Management (TPM), and project management teams to understand business requirements, design practical solutions, develop production-ready code, and deliver scalable applications.The role also involves providing technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, conducting code reviews, setting technical direction, and leveraging AI to automate Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Solid AWS experience, including application deployment.
  • Strong practical system design and architecture skills.
  • Hands-on coding experience and production delivery.
  • Technical leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards.
  • Ability to identify security vulnerabilities, poor coding practices, and code that should not be released to production.
  • Some exposure to infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and technical articulation skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • AWS ECS Fargate and AWS Lambda.
  • DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
  • PostgreSQL.
  • Confluent Kafka.
  • Serverless technologies and infrastructure development.
  • AWS Associate-level certification or higher.
  • Experience using AI to automate SDLC activities.

Interview Focus Areas:

  • Practical system design and architecture discussions.
  • Java and Spring Boot technical expertise.
  • AWS application deployment and cloud experience.
  • Hands-on coding and production readiness.
  • Code reviews, security, and coding standards.
  • Technical leadership and mentoring.
  • Communication and explanation of technical decisions.

Important Notes:

  • Candidates should be hands-on engineers with strong backend development and technical leadership experience. Infrastructure-only profiles will not be suitable.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with live coding, screen sharing, and system design discussions.
