Title: Senior Data Analyst / Data Engineer
Location: McLean, VA
Role Overview:
The position requires hands-on expertise in data analytics, data warehousing, and data transformation to support large-scale banking and mortgage initiatives. The role involves end-to-end data lifecycle work—design, development, testing, validation, and reporting—collaborating with business, data, and technology teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Design & Development – Design, develop, and maintain analytics, reporting, and data warehousing solutions using SQL, Snowflake, Python, and SAS. Build data models, pipelines, and integration processes.
2. Data Transformation & Quality – Execute data migration, integration, and enrichment. Perform profiling, validation, testing, and source-to-target mapping to ensure data quality.
3. Analytics & Reporting – Deliver analytical outputs and reports for business/regulatory needs. Develop dashboards with Tableau and other tools.
4. Collaboration & Delivery – Translate business requirements into data solutions. Work with engineering and program teams to support milestones and document processes.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in data analytics, modelling, warehousing, quality, migration, integration, and enrichment.
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, Snowflake, Python, SAS.
- Experience with databases like Sybase, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or UDB.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
- Understanding of the full data lifecycle (design, coding, reporting, testing).
Preferred Experience:
- Banking or mortgage domain knowledge.
- Work in regulated or highly governed data environments.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise data platforms or cloud migrations.
