We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is a key player in our Manufacturing industry, where you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical systems. You will be working with a team of professionals dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all mechanical systems in the manufacturing plant.
2. Implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.
3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions in production and processing equipment.
4. Collaborate with the engineering team to design and install new mechanical systems.
5. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
6. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment manuals, blueprints, and maintenance schedules.
7. Train and mentor junior staff members on mechanical maintenance procedures and best practices.
8. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of necessary parts and equipment.
9. Continually assess the efficiency of mechanical systems and propose improvements.
10. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to established health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
4. Excellent understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
6. Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
9. Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
10. A strong commitment to health and safety standards.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
13. Professional engineering (PE) certification will be an added advantage.
