Oracle Fusion BICC Technical Lead – Data Extraction & Analytics

Role Summary

The Oracle Fusion BICC Technical Lead will lead the assessment and remediation of Oracle Fusion ERP data extracts used for Supply Chain, Procurement, General Ledger, and spend analytics. The role will work with business, functional, Fusion ERP, analytics, and data-platform teams to determine whether existing BICC extracts meet reporting requirements and recommend whether extracts should be retained, modified, newly developed, or replaced with an alternative extraction approach.

 

The role is responsible for data traceability and validation from Oracle Fusion source objects through BICC extracts and delivery to the ADLS landing layer.

 

Key Responsibilities

•                Lead the technical assessment of existing Oracle Fusion BICC extracts supporting analytics and reporting.

•                Review the current inventory of BICC extracts, extract configurations, schedules, dependencies, and output files.

•                Work with Functional and Analytics teams to understand reporting requirements, including required fields, report grain, filters, history, refresh frequency, and reconciliation expectations.

•                Map reporting attributes to the appropriate Oracle Fusion source objects, PVOs, and BICC offerings.

•                Perform report-to-source and source-to-target data mapping and traceability.

•                Analyze missing attributes, incorrect values, data completeness issues, duplicates, and reconciliation differences.

•                Review full and incremental extraction logic, including extract filters, watermarks, schedules, and restart or recovery requirements.

•                Determine whether each existing extract should be retained without change, modified, replaced with a new BICC extract, or supplemented by an alternative extraction mechanism.

•                Coordinate with pipeline and ADLS teams to distinguish source-extraction issues from file-transfer, landing, schema, orchestration, or operational issues.

•                Support data profiling, record-count validation, control-total reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.

•                Define remediation options for missing, incorrect, or unusable data.

•                Prepare assessment findings, technical recommendations, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and a prioritized remediation backlog.

•                Provide technical leadership to developers involved in BICC configuration, extract validation, and remediation.

•                Participate in stakeholder workshops and present findings to Functional, ERP, Analytics, and Data teams.

•                Maintain technical documentation, mapping documents, issue registers, and decision logs.

 

Required Technical Skills

 

Mandatory Skills

•                Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion BICC configuration, extraction, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

•                Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion ERP data-extraction concepts, including BICC offerings, PVOs, incremental extracts, and output files.

•                Oracle Fusion ERP data-model knowledge in one or more relevant areas: Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, General Ledger, Payables, or spend analytics.

•                Hands-on experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud, including analyses, dashboards, datasets, data visualization, data connections, and semantic-model or RPD troubleshooting

•                Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.

•                Experience with source-to-target mapping and report-to-source traceability.

•                Experience analyzing data completeness, data quality, duplicate, null, and reconciliation issues.

•                Ability to translate reporting requirements into extraction and data-mapping requirements.

•                Experience working with Functional, ERP, Analytics, and Data Engineering teams.

•                Experience diagnosing data issues across source, extraction, file-transfer, and landing layers.

•                Strong technical documentation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
