Join CDW as a Lead Data Protection Engineer and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our digital assets through innovative data security solutions. This remote opportunity offers a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly influence the security posture of our organization and clients alike. As the technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced data protection controls, you will collaborate with global stakeholders to promote a security-first culture, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance across complex enterprise systems. Your hands-on leadership and deep knowledge of data security, cloud security, and modern security practices will be essential in building resilient, secure digital products.

Required Skills and Education:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering or software security
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within technical teams
  • Deep expertise in data security, cloud security, secure SDLC, and vulnerability management
  • Proven experience with security frameworks, tools, and methodologies such as DevSecOps, CI/CD security, IAM, SIEM, and vulnerability assessment platforms
  • Strong understanding of secure APIs, encryption, authentication/authorization, and threat modeling
  • Familiarity with Agile SCRUM, TDD, and modern secure development practices
