Summary

TechOp Solutions is seeking a Software Developer / Software Engineer to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) Mission and Program Management Office (MAPMO).
This role supports application development, automation, data modernization, and enterprise system sustainment for systems used by tens of thousands of users annually. The selected candidate will help design, build, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain digital applications and automation workflows in a federal environment.
Candidates with a traditional software development background are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform is preferred; however, candidates with strong computer science fundamentals and hands-on development experience in Java, C#, Python, .NET, JavaScript, or similar technologies may be considered. Solutions will be delivered using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Fx, SQL, and related Microsoft technologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a closely related technical field.
  • Hands-on software development, application development, automation development, or data-driven application experience.
  • Experience with at least one programming language or development framework such as Java, C#, Python, .NET, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Ability to understand application logic, troubleshoot technical issues, and explain technical solutions clearly.
  • Experience working with databases, SQL, data sources, reporting tools, APIs, automation workflows, or data transformation processes.
  • Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and deliver practical technical solutions.
  • Ability to create clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Washington, D.C. area as mission needs evolve.
