Salesforce Developer needed for a 10+ week contract with likelihood of extension!

Requirements: Role Overview
We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our Agile delivery team and help build and enhance our Salesforce CRM and The Hub, our client portal built on Salesforce Experience Cloud. You will work within 10week Program Increment (PI) cycles, collaborating closely with product owners, architects, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver highquality, secure, and scalable solutions. Your work will directly support the team in increasing sustainable velocity from its current ability to complete about 25 of 50 planned story points per PI.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
- Participate in PI Planning and sprint ceremonies (backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives) to estimate development work and help define resource needs for each 10week PI.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and QA to refine user stories and ensure clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Help the team balance scope and capacity to improve throughput toward the full 50point target.
Salesforce Development (CRM & Experience Cloud)
- Design, build, and maintain solutions in Salesforce using:
- Apex classes, triggers, and batch/queueable jobs.
- Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura components.
- Flows and other declarative tools where appropriate ( "clicks before code ).
- Develop and enhance Experience Cloud features for The Hub, including custom components, page layouts, navigation, and secure access for external clients.
- Implement and optimize integrations between Salesforce, The Hub, and other enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, or middleware.
Security, MFA, and Compliance
- Implement and support multifactor authentication (MFA) scenarios, login flows, and secure session management.
- Ensure appropriate use of profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and roles for both internal CRM users and Experience Cloud users.
- Follow security and compliance best practices, including secure coding standards and data protection patterns.
Quality, Testing, and Support
- Work closely with Salesforce QA resources to enable robust test coverage and predictable delivery.
- Write unit tests that meet or exceed Salesforce code coverage requirements and support automated regression suites.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving defects, performance issues, and integration failures across CRM and The Hub.
- Contribute to documentation (technical designs, configuration notes, integration specs).
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to architecture, coding standards, DevOps practices, and development processes to reduce technical debt and increase velocity.
- Stay current on Salesforce platform releases, Experience Cloud capabilities, and best practices; propose how new features can improve The Hub and CRM.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of handson Salesforce development experience.
- Strong experience with:
- Apex (triggers, classes, test methods, asynchronous processing).
- Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura.
- Declarative tools (Flows, validation rules, page layouts, record types).
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or SAFe), including story estimation and iterative delivery within fixed timeboxes.
- Experience building or supporting integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, callouts, platform events, or middleware).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security model: profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and fieldlevel security.
- Familiarity with MFA and authentication concepts (SSO, login flows, identity providers).
Preferred Qualifications
- Handson experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud (communities/portals), ideally for external client portals similar to The Hub.
- Exposure to UX/UI concepts and frontend best practices (responsive design, accessibility, user flows) within Lightning and Experience Cloud.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Salesforce DX, Gitbased source control, CI/CD pipelines).
- Salesforce certifications such as:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required for senior roles; strongly preferred for midlevel).
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
- Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant (plus).
- Experience in a scaled Agile environment using 10week PI cycles and story pointbased capacity planning.
