Overview: Every consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services we offer to clients. As a Network Support Engineer, you will join our Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day operational support for local site network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, wireless, and perimeter security)

Monitor, log, track, and resolve network-related incidents and performance issues, escalating when appropriate

Perform network troubleshooting and root cause analysis for outages, latency, and connectivity issues

Support and maintain network hardware and configurations, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers

Assist with network changes, moves/adds/changes, and configuration updates following established change and security processes

Maintain and update network documentation and Visio diagrams to reflect current-state configurations

Collaborate with central IT, vendors, and site stakeholders to ensure network reliability and minimal business disruption

Follow established security, patching, and vulnerability management processes as they apply to network devices

Provide knowledge transfer and operational handoff documentation at the conclusion of the 90-day engagement

Work occasional off-hours or non-traditional hours as needed to minimize production impact during network work

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments

Hands-on experience with:

LAN architecture and support

VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, and switching

Network troubleshooting and incident resolution

Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both IT and non-IT stakeholders

Strong documentation and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Cisco experience (CCNA or equivalent knowledge)

Experience with:

Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto)

SNMP, syslog, SSH

Wireless networking support

Network monitoring and packet analysis tools

Familiarity with ITIL-based operational support environments

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing appropriate PPE

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $110,000 or the hourly equivalent.
